Our beginner Capoeira intro course is back! Next session starts on Feb 9th and runs for 4 weeks until March 6th, 2012. This class will prepare you for the basics of Capoeira training. Muay Thai and Kickboxing are a great option if your goal is to get in amazing shape and learn/improve on your striking skills. The Muay Thai class will be focused on strikes such as kicks, elbows and knees. Kickboxing is a similar class that will focus mostly on physical conditioning, weight loss and toning. Samba is the national dance of Brazil. It is also one of the best known forms of Afro-Brazilian dances. If you ever go to Brazil, or play/hear Brazilian music, knowing how to Samba is a must! To schedule your first class, call us at 647.340.2293 or send us an email. You can come by to watch a class anytime. To participate, we recommend you schedule ahead of time as space can be limited in certain classes.
I have never done martial arts or dance, can I still participate?
- Yes. No experience is necessary and you do not need to be in a certain shape to take part in our classes. There are new beginners joining everyday and many ask themselves the same question: "Why didn't I join this earlier?!". If you have never done any form of exercise or have health concerns, we highly recommend to consult your physician prior to taking part in any physicall activity.
What should I wear?
- For Capoeira, wear comfortable and breathable pants (no shorts or jeans please) and t-shirt / top. For Muay Thai, BJJ and dance, any type of comfortable shorts or pants and a regular t-shirt is perfect.
Do I need a partner?
- No. Although a partner is not necessary, we hightly recommend having a friend join with you as this has been proven to help keep both of you motivated and focused on achieving your goal (fitness and/or skill level).
