With schools facing a bigger challenge of keeping their students excited and engaged, it's important to give them something to look forward to. Our regular performances across Ontario schools have proven to be a success. This is the perfect mix of entertainment and education. We have 2 options for this; our Black History Play and our Afro-Brazilian Music and Dance showcase. In both, we bring to you the rich history of Brazil through dances, music, storytelling, acrobatics and martial-arts.
Kids love what we do... and schools have been using that as leverage to keep their students engaged and excited about learning. Making school a fun experience for children is essential to their learning and growth, and we do just that! Our 45-minute school performances are interactive, educational and most importantly, FUN!
We also offer 1-hour workshops to schools and camps across the GTA.

We've heard before it's pretty much impossible not to jump out of your seat when seeing two high level Capoeira players coming within inches of each other with their fast and poweful kicks and flips. Or that you just cant't help but to move your body when you hear Samba drummers and see the beautiful Samba dancers.
We've been bringing all this excitement to the big screen for over a decade, wih highly qualified professionals specializing in Capoeira, Samba (Dancers and Drummers) and Maculele (Machete warrior Dance).

We live to party, play music, dance and sing. It is no wonder Brazil hosts the world's biggest Carnival.

Axé Capoeira began in Recife, Brazil in 1982 and in 1990 the group was invited to perform at the International Children's Festival in Vancouver. In 2001, Contra-Mestre Paraiba started his first class in Mississauga, then opened Toronto's first Capoeira academy in 2006.
Since then, our group has performed for many small private functions and large corporate event and accumulated various prestigious awards (2x winner of Top Choice Awards, DineTo's Best live Entertainment, TripAdvisor best Entertainment to name a few).
Our team is passionate about what we do. We strive to bring Brazil's energy and heat to our Toronto audience, putting a smile on their face while sharing our rich culture.

Axé Capoeira Toronto continues to lead the way as Toronto's largest Capoeira group with countless performances, classes and Toronto's only fully equipped Capoeira training academy. Our performances continue to be in high demand for weddings, corporate functions and festivals.
Top Choice Awards recognizes Axé Capoeira Toronto as the TOP Capoeira school and performance group in the GTA.
When very few people knew about Capoeria, we took a leap of faith with our art and opened Toronto's first Capoeira academy with just over 1400sq. ft. Today we continue to strive as Toronto's first and only Capoeira academy and have expanded to over 4000sq. ft. and classes offered across the city.
From it's humble beginnings in Recife, Brazil, to an international group, with locations in over 25 countries, Axé Capoeira is now a staple in the Capoeira community worldwide.
